Nice to meet you

I’m Colleen

Hi, I’m the artist and designer behind Bloom Wild Design.
With years of experience as an interior designer, I now create bespoke artwork and surface patterns that bring beauty, personality, and timeless charm to any space.

Based in Carmel, Indiana, I’m a self-taught artist and surface pattern designer—originally trained in interior design—who made the leap into art to blend my creativity with the rhythm of family life. I’m also a proud wife, mom to three amazing daughters, and yes, there’s a dog in the mix too!

Bloom Wild was born from my desire to pursue meaningful, creative work while being fully present for all the school plays, class parties, and soccer games that mattered most.

My designs are inspired by the things I love most—feminine florals, lush landscapes, and elegant patterns that feel both fresh and enduring. I believe in surrounding yourself with pieces that not only look beautiful but also stand the test of time. Whether on canvas or product, I pour my heart into creating art that feels as livable as it is lovely..

a bit more about

my story:

I’ve always been a creative at heart—it just has to come out one way or another. Though I originally earned a degree in business, it didn’t take long for me to follow my true passion. I returned to school to study Interior Design and spent several years working in residential design on the North Shore of Chicago.

It was there I met and married my husband, and we started our family with three beautiful daughters. Motherhood led me to pivot once again—this time working from home and exploring the handmade world of Etsy. I launched Sugar Creek Bedding and Sugar Creek Kids, designing children’s bedding and little girls’ dresses. That journey eventually evolved into painting, surface pattern design, and the creation of Bloom Wild Design.

This shop is a natural extension of my love for all things creative. When I’m not designing, you’ll likely find me tucked away in a coffee shop, getting my hands dirty in the garden, wandering through antique stores and flea markets, or cooking with my husband and daughters in our cozy kitchen.

I’m passionate about creating pieces that uplift, encourage, and leave you with a smile. Thanks so much for stopping by—I'm so glad you're here!
